When it comes to influencers sharing their passion for food, Yelp and Instagram seem to go hand-in-hand these days. In the latest episode of Eat.Drink.Social, we talk to Las Vegas’ Daniel Dong-Kyu Kim (@dongkyuverymuch on Instagram) to get his take on how being active on Yelp and Instagram is beneficial. Whether it’s posting an amazing photo of noodles from his favorite ramen spot, or trying out a Mexican restaurant for Taco Tuesday, Daniel chats with us about his adventures being both a popular foodie influencer, as well as a Yelp Elite member.

This Month's Spotlight: Colorado Spirits Trail

While the Kentucky Bourbon Trail is world-renowned, the Colorado Spirits Trail is still in its infancy. We had the opportunity to work with the Colorado Distillers Guild to help raise awareness of the trail and the Colorado Spirits Trail Festival, a special kick-off event that gathered more than 60 Colorado distilleries under one roof in Denver. To create buzz and push tickets sales, we promoted the event with traditional media, securing interviews for guild board members in print and broadcast. We also promoted the event with Instagram influencers by offering a special pre-event code for them to share with followers in exchange for passes to the event.

Live video across Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook gave followers a taste of the evening and allowed us to increase organic reach on social. By using a blend of traditional media and social influencer outreach, we were able to generate over 1.9 million impressions and a packed house for the event.
