The Numbers Behind Instagram and Influencers

With a reported 71% of businesses on Instagram, the network has become a focus for marketers. It’s also ground zero for influencer marketing and these stats tell the story:

  • There are over 500,000 influencers on the platform itself.

  • 78% of influencers prefer Instagram for brand collabs over other social media platforms.

  • 55.4% of influencers use the Stories app for Sponsored campaigns.

New Features

  • The newest version of Twitter’s desktop website has launched with a cleaner redesign, simpler navigation and an expanded inbox screen.

  • LinkedIn will add new features to its ad platform. Pages can now tailor their campaigns around brand awareness, website conversion tracking and applications.

  • Instagram is testing the removal of like counts in select countries outside of the U.S. to create a healthier and less competitive environment.

  • Facebook will upgrade its Messenger app to optimize speed, video viewing, desktop functionality and chat bots.

This Month’s Spotlight: Do Good, Drive Buzz

Momma’s Mustard, Pickles & BBQ (Louisville, KY) hired us to promote their 2% For Louisville program, in which 2% of all sales benefited six local non-profits. We created social media content around the program and the charities involved to get the word out on a grassroots level. We supported the content with social ad buys and saw record engagement on their pages with a single post gathering over 1K likes and 100 shares. We continued to extend the reach through traditional media, coordinating interviews on (WLKY) and WAVE.

We’d be remiss to say - congratulations to Momma’s! Over $35,000 has been raised in the first half of 2019 and over $350,000 has been distributed since first starting the program.
