As restaurants and bars continue to offer cocktails to-go, presentation still matters. In the latest episode of Eat. Drink. Social we talk with industry veteran Erick Castro to get his take on how bars should promote themselves during this time and best practices for spirits brands on social.

Whether it’s trying your hand at baking bread or making meatloaf the quarantine has caused people to cook more. We worked with Chibo on their Restaurant Project series to help teach people how to cook virtually while raising money for the non-profit Apron, which supports restaurant workers. We were able to promote the series getting it in Louisville Business FirstWHASLEO Weekly and more. The first class sold out and a second one was added helping to raise more money for workers impacted by COVID.

  • In order to help connect the rising number of people working from home, Facebook has outlined new tools for its Workplace professional platform including video chat rooms.

  • Instagram users can now save their Instagram Live broadcasts to IGTV, making them available for viewing for longer.

  • Facebook has launched ‘Shops’ on both Facebook and Instagram, which will allow businesses to sell products directly from their profiles.

  • Business users and creators can now highlight recommendations, tips and other content in a new, dedicated profile tab on Instagram called ‘Guides.’

  • LinkedIn has launched its own polls option, providing another way to gather feedback and boost engagement.
